Whether it's furniture you found online, something from a store, an estate-sale find, an item in storage, or something from family or friends, Gateway provides the transportation and hauling logistics to help you get it where it needs to go.
When You Need the Haul, Not the Movers
Gateway solves the part in between.
This service is for when you already know what needs to move and where it needs to go. Maybe you found the perfect piece of furniture on Facebook Marketplace. Maybe the store doesn't deliver. Maybe the item is in a storage unit or at a family member's home. You have the pickup and delivery locations; Gateway has the vehicle, equipment, and logistics to connect the two.

Gateway labor is not included or promised.
Gateway may lend a hand with loading or unloading when practical and at our discretion, but that assistance is never promised. Customer-provided helping hands must be sufficient to complete the job without depending on Gateway labor.

Standard Local Haul
$75
One straightforward pickup, one delivery, and the first 30 total Gateway trip miles.

How We Calculate Mileage
Mileage is calculated across Gateway's complete trip:
- The first 30 total trip miles are included in the $75 rate.
- After 30 miles: $1 per additional mile.
- Gateway reviews pickup and delivery locations before accepting the job so you understand how mileage applies.
No Custom Haul tier. If a job starts functioning like a move, Gateway evaluates it as a Micro Move instead.
How It Works
Show us. We review it. You provide the hands. We get it there.
Show Us
Send a photo of what needs transported and provide pickup and delivery locations. For larger or unusual items, Gateway may ask for dimensions or additional information.
Tell Us About Access & Help
Disclose stairs, elevators, long walks, loading docks, gates, parking restrictions, or other access issues. Confirm you have sufficient helping hands at pickup and delivery.
We Review It
Gateway reviews the item, locations, access, available help, transportation requirements, and anticipated total trip mileage. If it fits Local Hauling & Delivery, we confirm service and pricing. If it is becoming a move rather than a straightforward haul, we recommend Micro Moves instead.
We Get It There
Gateway arrives at the pickup location. Customer-provided help loads the item, Gateway secures and transports it, and customer-provided help unloads at the destination. Gateway assistance is discretionary only.

Gateway will help figure out which service fits. Here is the simplest way to think about the difference:
Local Hauling & Delivery
“I need this item picked up there and brought here.” Designed for a straightforward pickup and delivery.
Micro Moves
“I need to move my belongings from one location to another.”
Local Hauling moves the item. Micro Moving manages the move.
If a job involves multiple stops, a larger collection of belongings, extended coordination or time, or otherwise begins functioning like a move, Gateway may recommend Micro Moves instead.
Is Local Hauling Right for Your Job?
We review each haul before accepting it.
Local Hauling & Delivery works best when you know what needs transported, know the origin and destination, can provide sufficient helping hands at pickup and delivery, and primarily need the vehicle, equipment, transportation, and logistics to connect the two.
If your job requires something different, Gateway will say so. The goal isn't to turn every pickup into a bigger service. It's to help you find the simplest reasonable way to get it done.
